A patient review after a doctor was arrested as part of an investigation into allegations of sexual assault at two NHS trusts has ended, Staffordshire Police said. A doctor could be charged with sexual assault on patients at two NHS trusts, including children, as part of an ongoing investigation by Staffordshire Police, according to the Sunday Times.
The force said the three-and-a-half year investigation, which saw it reviewing records at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust and Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust was "extremely complex". On Saturday evening, the force said a patient review had ended - it was part of a three-and-a-half-year investigation and saw officers looking into records at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust and Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.
