At least fifteen people were injured after Ukraine bombed a sanatorium in Crimea, regional Governor Sergey Aksenov said in a statement on social media on Sunday. He said a school building was also hit in the attack. | |
Aksenov confirmed there were fatalities, but said that “the death toll is still being determined.” | |
“Emergency services are working on scene, and people are receiving all necessary assistance,” he wrote, adding, “I am personally monitoring the situation. Please remain calm and trust only official information.” | |
In the peninsula’s largest city, Sevastopol, regional head Mikhail Razvozhaev reported that the Russian Black Sea fleet and air defenses are defending against a Ukrainian drone attack near the city. | |
