Thieves put elderly man in garage

An 85-year-old man has been robbed at his home in County Down, the police have said.

It happened on Glasdrumman Road in Annalong at about 1600 BST on Friday, but details have just been released.

Two men, aged in their early 20s, entered the man's home. One pushed the pensioner into a back room while the other ransacked the house.

They then locked the man in his garage before they escaped with cash. The pensioner was not injured.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
