Body in city centre is identified

Police believe they now know the identity of a man whose body was found near Cardiff's main shopping area.

The body was discovered at about 0745 GMT on Saturday in Frederick Street, off Queen Street.

South Wales Police said formal identification of him would not take place until Monday morning.

The area was cordoned off for a time on Saturday morning, but police have said they are not treating the death as suspicious.
