Three Belgians 'released in Iran'

Iran has released three Belgians held since October for illegally entering a prohibited area and gathering information, Iranian media report. The three men were freed on the orders of Tehran's prosecutor and handed over to the Belgian ambassador, they said. The reports gave no details of the nature or location of the prohibited area that the Belgians allegedly entered. Belgium has so far made no official comment on the issue. The detention of the Belgians had not been previously reported in Iran. |
