In a statement read to the court, Mrs Warden said: "I was terrified and at the same time scared for my children."
In other statements, youths who were in the car with the defendant said he had wanted to go back to confront Mrs Warden.
He asked the driver to go to a nearby garage, then went into the restaurant by himself and attacked Mrs Warden from behind.

She said: "It (the bleach) kept coming and fell all down the right side of my face and into my eyes. In a statement read to the court, Mrs Warden said: "I was terrified and at the same time scared for my children."

Tim Capstick, prosecuting, told the jury: "The only issue for you to decide is what his intent was at the time. Tim Capstick, prosecuting, told the jury: "We suggest that although he did not in fact cause her serious harm, that was clearly his intent on the evening in question."

He said he went to the service station intending to buy eggs, but when he could not find any he bought the bleach instead because it had a top that meant it would squirt.
Andrew Lees, defending, asked the youth what he had intended to do.
"I intended to show her up in the restaurant," he said.
The youth added he would not have squirted the bleach if he thought it could do serious harm to Mrs Warden.
