Eye witnesses reported seeing lots of black smoke. One eye-witness, who was driving from St Clears towards Carmarthen, said: "When we got to Carmarthen from the roundabout there were plumes of black, dark, thick smoke coming out from around the factory site.

"My cousin was in the car and he said he could see flames coming from the building.
"There was a real acrid smell in the area - it was horrible, catching you in the back of your throat."
Carmarthenshire council said slip roads and other routes to Johnstown were being closed due to the heavy smoke.
However, schools and social care centres in the area are currently unaffected by the fire, but pupils and those using the centres have been advised to stay indoors with the windows closed.
The council said it was not expecting evacuations to be necessary at the moment.
