Elderly robbed in Belfast house

A couple in their 80s and a man in his 40s have been robbed at a house in south Belfast.

Three men forced their way into the property on Kitchener Street just after 2020 GMT on Saturday.

The man in his 40s was struck on the head by one of the intruders and was later treated in hospital. Police said his injury was not life threatening.

The gang escaped with a small sum of cash and made off in a gold-coloured car, driven by a fourth man.
