Another bailed in quad bike probe
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/wales/south_east/8410600.stm Version 0 of 1. A fourth man has been released on bail after questioning about a £40,000 raid at an outdoor gear store in Cardiff. The 21-year-old and three others, aged 34, 28 and 22, released on Friday, have been given bail by South Wales Police. The break-in at the Go Outdoors store on Newport Road early on Wednesday has been linked to the deaths of two men on a quad bike on a nearby railway line. Trevor Davies, 20, and David Cooper, 24, of Rumney, Cardiff, were killed by a train at about 0400 GMT on Wednesday. Around 200 specialist outdoor jackets were stolen from the store. It is believed the raiders cut through a fence by the railway and used quad bikes to ram through doors to enter the shop, on a retail park. Mr Cooper and Mr Davies were travelling east towards Newport when they were struck from behind by the passenger train, believed to be travelling at about 70mph. Normally, there would be nothing on the line at that time of the morning but the train was travelling from the Canton rail depot to Cheltenham for servicing. South Wales Police have asked anyone with information about the incident to contact Rumney CID via the non-emergency number 101, or through the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. |
