Police investigate sexual assault

Police in east Belfast are investigating an allegation of serious sexual assault on an 18-year-old woman.

The alleged attack happened at a house on the Upper Newtownards Road near the junction with Belmont Church Road late on Saturday evening.

Police say they are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area between 2130 GMT and 2330 GMT on Saturday.

Forensic investigators were at the scene of the alleged attack on Sunday morning.
