Man arrested over M40 fatal crash

The driver of a Ford Transit van was killed when the vehicle collided with a Daf lorry and burst into flames early on Saturday. The London-bound lanes were shut from junction six for Lewknor to junction five at Stokenchurch for several hours. A man, in his 40s and from Sandhurst, Berkshire, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and later bailed. Tailbacks stretched as far north as junction eight for Oxford following the crash. The road reopened just before 1300 GMT. Police have appealed for witnesses. Police and fire crews examine the Ford Transit van which collided with a lorry |
