It will be the final prime minister's questions session before Parliament begins its 20-day Christmas recess later on Wednesday.
By Justin Parkinson 1145 Hello and welcome to our live text coverage of the final prime minister's questions of 2009. The end-of-term, even festive, feel is augmented by that fact that the understudies are in charge for the day. Gordon Brown is at the Copenhagen climate summit, so Labour's deputy leader Harriet Harman steps in. For the Tories it will be be shadow foreign secretary William Hague, with Lib Dem deputy leader Vince Cable completing the merry trio.
It is the first PMQs since last week's pre-Budget report.
Among the other MPs listed to ask questions are Conservatives Andrew Mackay, Mark Francois, Gerald Howarth and David Heathcoat-Amery, Lib Dem climate change spokesman Simon Hughes and Labour's Clive Betts.
Ms Harman's previous clashes with Mr Hague have provided much amusement at Westminster, with each using jokes about the other's wardrobes and political judgement.
PM's questions starts at 1200 GMT, and will be shown on BBC Two's Daily Politics and, alongside our live text commentary, here on the BBC News website.
