Sir Terry Wogan is set to host his last ever Radio 2 Breakfast Show later after 27 years presenting the programme. Sir Terry Wogan has begun hosting his last Radio 2 breakfast show after 27 years presenting the programme.
Last week he was inducted into the Radio Academy Hall and also received the PRS John Peel Outstanding Contribution to Music award. Opening the show, the 71-year-old said: "This morning we're going to indulge ourselves and play all the music we've enjoyed so much over the years."
He then played his fan anthem Young at Heart by The Bluebells adding: "No senior moments this morning and no blubbing."
Sir Terry will begin hosting a new Sunday show from February.
Fellow Radio 2 DJ Johnnie Walker will fill in for Sir Terry until Chris Evans takes over the show on 11 January.

The presenter is normally brought to his studio by a driver shortly before the show is on air.
