Fire crews at burning oil tanks Homes destroyed in oil tank fire

About 40 firefighters are at the scene of a blaze in Carryduff in County Down, the fire service has said. Two homes have been destroyed after domestic oil tanks caught fire in County Down.
Two oil tanks are burning at the back of detached bungalows at Brackenwood Crescent. The tanks at the back of the detached bungalows at Brackenwood Crescent, Carryduff, were burning for longer than five hours.
The fire service have said that they are dealing with a running oil fire. A 14-year-old boy sleeping in one house was rescued by neighbours. No-one was hurt, but the families have lost almost everything and are appealing for help.
A section of the Knockbracken Road has been closed to traffic. There are no further details at the moment. About 40 fire-fighters were at the scene at one stage.
Police said the cause of the fire was not being treated as suspicious.
