Tweed denies raping woman twice

The 22-year-old appeared by videolink from Pentonville Prison, London, during a hearing at the city's Snaresbrook Crown Court. He has been charged with raping a 19-year-old woman twice at his home in Repton Park, Woodford Green, Essex on 4 September. The judge remanded Mr Tweed in custody and set a trial for 12 April. It is alleged Mr Tweed met the woman at the Embassy club in Mayfair, London, before taking her to his home. His co-defendant 25-year-old Anthony Davis, of Stradbroke Drive, Chigwell, Essex, also appeared in the court where he pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape. Mr Davis was released on bail. |
