An aircraft has gone off the end of a runway at Prestwick Airport in the west of Scotland.An aircraft has gone off the end of a runway at Prestwick Airport in the west of Scotland.
Emergency services are on the way to the scene. Strathclyde Fire and Rescue have confirmed they have sent three appliances to the incident. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 0900 GMT.
It is understood the aircraft had been coming in to land when it overshot the runway. An eyewitness said it had come to rest partially on the grass. The Ryanair aircraft from Dublin had been coming in to land when it overshot the runway. An eyewitness said it had come to rest partially on the grass.
Police said there were not believed to be any injuries. All 129 passengers have been taken off the plane and Strathclyde Police said there were not believed to have been any injuries.
Eyewitness Tom Halpin said the aircraft involved was a Ryanair Boeing 737.
Mr Halpin said it had come to rest on the grass verge at the western end of the runway, with the nosewheel and the starboard main undercarriage on the grass.
