Four arrests after body discovery

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the discovery of a man's body in Burnham-on-Sea.

Police were called to Abingdon Street in the Somerset town at 0915 GMT, and discovered the body of a man.

A man aged 23 and a woman, 27, were arrested on suspicion of murder. The cause of death is currently unknown.

A further two people, a man aged 25 and a woman aged 21 have also been arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting an offender.

The road was closed while where crime scene investigators search the property where the body was found.

A post mortem examination will be carried out and Avon and Somerset Police have appealed for witnesses.
