Mystery body pulled from harbour

Police are trying to identify the body of an elderly man found in Torquay harbour on Christmas Day.

A member of the public reported seeing a body in the water close to Princess Pier.

Torbay lifeboat crew were called out to begin a recovery operation while officers tried to find out who he was and how he died.

It is not known how long the body had been in the water. A post mortem is expected to take place soon.
