A Hertfordshire Police spokeswoman said: "Officers and volunteer search teams involved in the search for missing teenager Jordan can now confirm that they have recovered a body from the River Stort.
"The body was found by specialist search teams at around 1313 GMT.
"It will take some time before the identity of the deceased can be confirmed although it is very likely to be that of Jordan.
"However, until that is done the investigation into his disappearance will still continue."
The spokeswoman said a family liaison officer was with the 13-year-old's relatives.
