Body confirmed as missing skier
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/england/london/8434094.stm Version 0 of 1. A body found near a Swiss ski resort has been confirmed as that of a Briton who vanished after leaving a bar. Myles Robinson, 23, disappeared after leaving the Blue Monkey bar in Wengen to take a friend to her hotel just after 0200 GMT on 22 December. He had been staying at a nearby hotel with his family, from Wandsworth, south-west London. Swiss police think he fell from a path near a viewpoint into a steep gully between Wengen and Lauterbrunnen. A private search party found his body near a viewpoint called Monschsblick, police said. They added the investigation was continuing, but there was no evidence that anyone else was involved. Posters had been put up around the town in an attempt to find Mr Robinson and the Swiss army was involved in the search for him. The former Newcastle University and Charterhouse school student and his family have been visiting the resort for 15 years, and his girlfriend was due to fly out to spend new year with them. |
