Councillor Maeve McLaughlin, who knows the victim's family, said the community was in shock.
"There are young children involved in this family, and to think they had to undergo such an ordeal," she said.
"The people of the Glen community don't want this on their doorstep.
"There is no place for this kind of incident, it needs to be condemned outright, and those behind it just need to stop it and wise up," she said.
