Version 0 of 1.

School friends of a murdered boy have created a giant birthday card to mark what would have been his 17th birthday.

The Ernest Bevin College pupils will join Eugene Attram's family in Lavender Avenue in Mitcham, south London, where he died in November 2006.

Eugene, from Thornton Heath, south London, was fatally stabbed during a fight between two groups of youths.

No-one has been charged with his murder and police will be distributing witness appeal leaflets on Friday.

The birthday card, which will be placed at the site, will incorporate things dear to Eugene.

'Terrible time'

Det Insp Nick Mervin said: "Friday should have been a day of celebration for Eugene's family."

He urged those who may have information about the stabbing to come forward.

"I would call on them to find their conscience - think of Eugene's family at this terrible time," he said.

"We understand that you might be feeling frightened by what you know but I appeal to anyone who was there to come and talk to us.

"Also I appeal to parents or friends who know someone who was there that night to encourage them to speak to police."
