Man injured in Crossgar assault

A man in his 30s has been seriously injured after being attacked by two men in Crossgar.

The man was attacked in Downpatrick Street at about 0200 GMT on Friday.

The man was taken to hospital with head injuries, which are understood to be serious but not life-threatening.

Two men in their 20s were arrested in connection with the incident, but have since been released pending further inquiries.
