Two dead after Las Vegas shooting

A gunman has opened fire in a federal court building in Las Vegas, killing one security officer and wounding another before being shot dead. The incident took place early in the morning in a building more than a mile north of the Las Vegas Strip. The gunman was shot in the head as he fled shortly after firing off several rounds within the court complex. Chief Deputy Marshal Roxanna Lea Irwin said she believed he had acted alone. No motive was given for the attack. Both the building and several streets nearby were evacuated and searched following the shooting. |
