Freezing temperatures and forecasts of snow have led to a severe weather warning for a large part of Wales. The Met Office is warning of snow across Wales and it has issued a severe weather warning for the whole of the country.
The Met Office said widespread icy roads were expected overnight and into Tuesday morning as rain, sleet and snow fall onto frozen surfaces. Falling temperatures are likely to bring ice on untreated surfaces while heavy snowfall is predicted across south east Wales later on Tuesday.

"The Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) have said that the 22 local authorities in Wales have carried out salting on an 'unprecedented scale' over the holiday period 'which has severely diminished stocks and created a Wales wide problem'."
