A 15-year-old girl has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of a teenage boy who was beaten to death by a gang of youths in Hull.

Lee Joshua Conman, 15, was attacked by a group of six or seven teenagers outside the Chopstick House Chinese takeaway, on Ings Road, late on Friday.

Post-mortem tests have confirmed that he died as a result of head injuries.

Two boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on Friday and the girl was arrested on Saturday. All three remain in custody.

Meanwhile, detectives are still trying to track down any remaining witnesses to the attack.

Det Ch Insp Christine Kelk, who is leading the investigation, said: "There were a large number of people, particularly young people, in the area at the time Lee was assaulted and detectives need to speak to everyone who was there.

"Work is ongoing to identify and speak to everyone in the area when Lee was attacked.

"I would urge anyone who has not yet made themselves known to the police to do so now and help us track down the person or people responsible for Lee's death."
