An Iranian nuclear physics professor has been killed in a bomb attack in the capital Tehran, Iranian media say. Iranian media have blamed Israel and the US for a bomb attack which killed an Iranian nuclear scientist in Tehran.
They say that Masoud Mohammadi died after a remotely controlled bomb exploded near his home. State broadcaster Irib said "Zionist and American agents" planted a remotely controlled bomb that killed Professor Masoud Ali Mohammadi near his home.
Iranian media describe him as a "devoted revolutionary professor" killed by "anti-revolutionary" groups. Local media described him as a "devoted revolutionary professor".

Israel and the US have so far made no comments about Tuesday's blast.

Press TV quoted security officials at the scene as saying that the equipment and system of the bomb used in the attack had been related to a number of foreign intelligence agencies, particularly Israel's Mossad.
