A 26-year-old man has been arrested after one man died and two others were injured during a large-scale street fight in Glasgow on Christmas Day. A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man and the attempted murder of two others during a large street fight on Christmas Day.

Police said a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal. The man arrested is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court. Edward Dearie, 26, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court. He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
He will appear again next week.
