Armed robbers have fired a shot - believed to be from a starting pistol - during a raid on a convenience store in east Belfast on Saturday night.

The two men went into the shop on the Albertbridge Road shortly after 2145 GMT and demanded money.

They fired the shot before running off in the direction off Thorndyke Street. No-one was injured and nothing was stolen during the incident.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
