Haiti images continue to dominate

There are problems reported with sending aid - the <a class="inlineText" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jan/14/haiti-aid-agencies-logistical-problem"> Guardian says there are bottlenecks caused by wrecked runways, port facilities and roads.</a> The <a class="inlineText" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1243181/Simple-eye-test-Alzheimers-catch-disease-crucial-early-stage.html">Daily Mail says scientists at University College London are developing a test to detect Alzheimer's</a> up to 20 years before symptoms show. It says the simple and inexpensive eye test could be part of routine examinations by opticians. The <a class="inlineText" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/6988479/Shopping-is-good-for-your-health.html">Daily Telegraph says research by Debenhams suggests the average British woman walks more than 150 miles a year</a> in search of bargains. The <a class="inlineText" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1243119/Shop-till-drop-How-average-woman-burns-48-000-calories-year.html">Mail says women burn about 385 calories while in shops every week. </a> Cop shopped Several papers report on the supermarket shopping habits of the new chief constable of South Wales. Peter Vaughan said he now cannot do any such shopping because of his new job. The Telegraph says Peter Vaughan told the Police Review journal someone else would have to do his shopping "for security reasons". But, according to the <a class="inlineText" href="http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article6988839.ece">Times, Mr Vaughan insists he said he would not be able to go shopping because of time constraints,</a> not security reasons. The world's tallest man and the world's shortest have met for the first time - and their encounter provides some captivating pictures for the papers. Sultan Kosen stands 8ft 1in tall, while He Pingping from China is just under 2ft 6in. They posed in Istanbul for Guinness World Records.
