Police said the man, thought to be in his 30s and Vietnamese, was left in Camden Street, Hockley, during Tuesday afternoon. He died later that evening. Police said CCTV showed he was left in the street by someone in a dark coloured saloon who then drove away. Later an anonymous caller rang the ambulance service but refused to give an identity. Det Insp Warren Hines said police needed to know who the man was. "Until we know, we can't let his family know of the sad news of his death," he said. The man had not been wearing any shoes or socks, he added. Post-mortem tests carried out on the man were inconclusive, police said. The death is currently being treated as unexplained. |
