Robinson briefs MLAs on policing More talks on NI justice quandary

A briefing of the DUP's assembly team on talks about the devolution of policing and justice has ended. Sinn Fein and the DUP are to hold further talks at Stormont on Saturday over the devolution of policing and justice, Gerry Adams has said.
A party spokesman said the meeting was "very useful and constructive" and they hoped to have more talks with other parties next week. The party president said he did not expect an imminent breakthrough and the talks remained a "work in progress".
BBC political correspondent Gareth Gordon said the meeting was likely to have been a progress report to the group from party leader Peter Robinson. As well as discussions on Saturday more negotiations are expected next week between the parties, who are at loggerheads over the issue.
