A man has been charged with murdering an elderly couple whose bodies were found at their flat in Devon. A 28-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering an elderly couple in Devon.

Police have charged Odai Salah, 28, of Windsor Road, Torquay, with murder and he will appear in court on Monday. Odai Salah, 28, of Windsor Road, Torquay, was remanded in custody by town magistrates.

A statement issued on behalf of the family by one of Ms Windle's sons, said: "I can only hope that if anyone has any information that they come forward to assist the police in their investigation. Mr Salah is accused of killing the couple some time between 7 and 11 January.
"I would also like to thank all of the local people for their kind words regarding my mother as a person and my mum and Maurece as a couple." He is due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on 2 February.
