A 29-year-old man is due to appear in court later charged with attempted murder. A 29-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder.
It follows an attack at University Street, south Belfast at about 0400 GMT on Saturday. Raymond Millar, of University Street, Belfast, was accused of trying to kill Michael Hedley, also 29, at University Street, at about 0400 GMT on Saturday.
A 29-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment. The man is to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court at Laganside on Monday morning. Mr Hedley was taken to hospital for treatment. No other details about the stabbing were disclosed at court in Belfast on Monday.
Police have appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed the incident to contact them. A detective constable said he could connect Mr Millar with the charges. He was remanded in custody for one month.
