The burglary happened at Bridgend Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Bridgend town at 0300 GMT on Friday, police said. The raiders forced their way into the front of the HSBC bank and used a powered angle-grinder to break into the cash machine. South Wales Police have appealed to the public for any information. Det Insp Jason Redrup of Bridgend CID said: "We would like to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of HSBC Bank on Bridgend Industrial Estate very early on the Friday morning. "They may have witnessed something unusual or suspicious. "The use of an angle grinder during the offence also would have created quite a lot of noise." Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Insp Redrup on 01656 679518 or independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. |
