Huw Davies, prosecuting, said Mr Marsh and mother-of-one Mrs Harris had been having a secret, sado-masochistic affair. He told the jury how shortly after midnight on 29 July last year, Mrs Harris travelled to the new-build house her lover shared with his wife in Gorseinon, near Swansea. The front door had been left unlocked, he added, and after she let herself in she went into the kitchen and took an eight-inch bladed knife before walking upstairs.
