Five arrests in police operation

Three houses have been searched and five people arrested for questioning during a police investigation into serious crime in Belfast.

Police said the arrests formed part of an investigation into illegal drugs importation and money-laundering.

The three men, aged 22, 23 and 43, and two women, aged 20 and 42, were arrested on Monday and are being questioned at Antrim police station.

A quantity of drugs was recovered during the searches.
