Major travel problems are being caused in Aberdeen due to an ongoing police incident. Major travel problems are being experienced in Aberdeen as police deal with the discovery of a "suspicious package" in the city centre.
Trains to Aberdeen are terminating at Dyce and Stonehaven. Trains to Aberdeen are terminating at Dyce and Stonehaven after the discovery by a member of public at Guild Street just after 0600 GMT.
Grampian Police have so far declined to give any details of what is happening in the city centre but members of the public reported serious problems. Members of the public have been reporting serious travel problems to the BBC Scotland news website.
The operation, which appears to be centred on the Guild Street and Union Square area, has caused lengthy traffic issues. Grampian Police said diversions were in place.

A police spokesman said: "There is no immediate danger to the public and people should be reassured that we have taken appropriate action.
"A number of traffic diversions are in place while we deal with this package.
"We would ask the public to cooperate with us and avoid the Guild Street area in the meantime and to follow the posted diversions."
He added: "We understand that this will cause some problems for people trying to get to work, but the safety of the public is our priority and we are sure people appreciate this."
