Lisa Hayden-Johnson, from Devon, conned doctors into operating on him believing he had a life-threatening allergy and diabetes, Exeter Crown Court was told. The actions of Lisa Hayden-Johnson, 35, from Devon, led to the boy being operated on unnecessarily, Exeter Crown Court heard.
Her actions also led to him being fed through a tube in his stomach. She presented him in a wheelchair to the Duchess of Cornwall, appeared on television and spent charity donations.
The 35-year-old has admitted charges of child cruelty and perverting the course of justice and will be sentenced later. She was jailed for three years and three months after admitting cruelty.
