Arrest over three city burglaries

A 30-year-old man has been arrested by police after three burglaries in east Belfast in less than three hours.

The three burglaries, which took place in Glentoran Place and Spring Place, were reported to police between 2020 GMT and 2300 GMT on Saturday.

Jewellery was stole from two of the addresses but was recovered a short time later.

The police said the man remains in custody and is assisting officers with their inquiries.
