The BBC has not been able to contact the hotel's owners, father and son Paul and Luke Kempin, who are understood to be in the United States. It was bought for £2m by Paul Kempin and his son Luke in 2007, who say they have also been left out of pocket.
Speaking from Switzerland, Paul Kempin told the BBC they are owed £60,000 in rent from the firm which leases the building.
He added they were not planning to evict those members of staff who live in cottages on the site.
