Brick 'hits mother's windscreen'

A mother and her baby narrowly escaped injury when a brick was thrown through the windscreen of her car on the M8 motorway in Glasgow. The woman's 15-month-old daughter was in the front passenger seat of the Nissan Qashqau when the brick was thrown from an overhead footbridge. The 33-year-old was travelling on the M8 near junction 13 at about 1845 GMT on Sunday when the incident happened. Strathclyde Police said the mother and baby narrowly missed being hit. The force said the woman was extremely shaken and distressed by the incident and appealed for information Officers are studying CCTV in an effort to find out who was involved. |
