Man held over ceiling blood death

The body of Ahmed Remon Hayder, 27, was found on Monday when an office worker saw blood coming through the ceiling of an architect's shop in Seaford. Mr Hayder, who was known as Ray and worked at the nearby Moon of India restaurant, died of head injuries. The arrested man, of no fixed address, was detained in Tower Hamlets, east London, at about 2220 GMT on Friday. Murder weapon Mr Hayder's body was found in the flat in Sutton Park Road where he lived with his family. The flat is linked to the Moon of India restaurant, which he had been running while his parents were on holiday in Bangladesh. It is believed he was attacked at some point between 2300 GMT on Sunday and Monday lunchtime, when the body was found. Police said early indications showed more than one weapon was used and that one of these was likely to be sharp, such as a knife. The weapon used to attack Mr Hayder has not yet been found. |
