A gang of masked and armed men locked a family into a bedroom and then ransacked their west Belfast home. A west Belfast woman who was robbed in her home by an armed gang said the robbers threatened to kill her.

They locked the couple in their fifties and a 17-year-old girl into a bedroom while they searched the house. They locked the woman and her husband, who are aged in their 50s, and a 17-year-old girl into a bedroom while they searched the house.
The robbers escaped with cash and mobile phones. The woman, who only wanted to be known as Edith, said it was frightening.
"At first I thought it was a joke and then I seen all the guns coming out and I knew it was for real," she said.
"It was very terrifying at the time, they demanded money and jewellery and held us in the bedroom until they ransacked the scullery.
"They said they knew we had money and jewellery and said that 'tell us now, because if we find it we will end up shooting you dead'."
The robbers escaped with money box and mobile phones.
