A west Belfast woman who was robbed in her home by an armed gang said the robbers threatened to kill her. | |

They locked the woman and her husband, who are aged in their 50s, and a 17-year-old girl into a bedroom while they searched the house. | |
The woman, who only wanted to be known as Edith, said it was frightening. | |
"At first I thought it was a joke and then I seen all the guns coming out and I knew it was for real," she said. | |
"It was very terrifying at the time, they demanded money and jewellery and held us in the bedroom until they ransacked the scullery. | |
"They said they knew we had money and jewellery and said that 'tell us now, because if we find it we will end up shooting you dead'." | |
The robbers escaped with money box and mobile phones. |
