A 31-year-old man is being questioned in connection with the murder of pensioner Charles Stead in Dundonald last month.

The 92-year-old was found at his home in Canberra Park on 26 February. Police said he had been beaten to death.

A murder inquiry was launched after a post-mortem examination concluded the head injuries caused Mr Stead's death.

Mr Stead had lived in the bungalow since the 1960s, and neighbours expressed shock at his murder.
