In her original trial, Haigh, was found guilty by a 10-2 majority and was jailed for life with a minimum term of 10 years.
However, Lord Justice Dyson, sitting with Mrs Justice Swift and Mr Justice Sweeney, ruled her murder conviction was "unsafe".
The judges also announced they were imposing an "extended" sentence of nine years, four of which Haigh will serve in jail.
Her custodial sentence will be followed by a five-year period on licence after her release.
