The A9 is still closed between the Broxden and Keir roundabouts. The road was blocked for 17 hours in both directions between Perth and Dunblane because of a fallen power line and jack-knifed lorries.
It has now been cleared and is described as passable with care.
Police now say another section of the A9 is closed because of snow north of Pitlochry. The snow gates are closed at Drumochter.
