Police in Greater Manchester investigating a £263,000 bank fraud have named a man they are looking for.

The money was stolen from NatWest in Oldham in July 2007 when a gang claimed to be genuine account holders, and then transferred the money.

Police say they are keen to question Rthammed Ashraf Chowdry, 42, who is also known as "Taz".

Det Sgt Darren Grafton, of Greater Manchester Police, appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

"This investigation has been ongoing for several years and clearly we will not rest until those responsible are brought to justice," Det Sgt Grafton said.

"I am keen to speak to Rthammed and if anyone has information about his whereabouts, if not now but since this crime occurred, I would urge them to get in touch."
