The mother of a murder suspect has urged him to hand himself in after a mother and her baby daughter were found dead in Hampshire. The mother of a murder suspect has urged him to hand himself in after his girlfriend and baby were found dead.
Detectives have not revealed how 24-year-old Stephanie Bellinger and eight-month-old Lily died but appealed to her partner Anthony Marsh to come forward. The bodies of Stephanie Bellinger, 24, and eight-month-old daughter Lily were found at their home in Totton, near Southampton, in Hampshire on Saturday.
A statement from Mr Marsh's mother Wendy read: "It is pointless to run way please hand yourself in to the police." Ms Bellinger died of stab wounds, a post-mortem examination found. It has not yet been confirmed how Lily died.

The public have been advised not to approach the 21-year-old. Det Ch Insp Colin Matthews described the case as a tragedy for all concerned.

Mr Marsh is described as white, 6ft 2in, with short fair hair and brown eyes. He is of slim build and has a tattoo on his left forearm.

Police confirmed the couple also had a two-year-old son called Charlie. It is not known if he was in the house when his mother was stabbed.
