Major police hunt for missing boy Boy found after extensive search

An air and ground police search is under way for a seven-year-old schoolboy reported missing from his home in the Barmulloch area of Glasgow. A seven-year-old boy who went missing from his Glasgow home, sparking an air and ground search, has been found.
Conan Sweeney was last seen at his home in Red Road Court at about 0940 BST on Monday and was spotted in the area at about 1430. Conan Sweeney was found late on Monday after he had disappeared from his home in the Barmulloch area of the city earlier in the day.
His family are said to be increasingly concerned for his safety. Strathclyde Police issued an appeal to find Conan after he had last been spotted in the area of his Red Road Court home at about 1430 BST.
He is described as about 4ft tall, with short blonde hair. He was wearing short blue trousers and gold trainers. The force helicopter and police dogs were involved in the search for him.
Officers from Strathclyde Police, the force helicopter and police dogs have joined the search but all efforts to trace the boy have failed to locate him. Conan was later reunited with his mother. It is understood he has gone missing before.
It is understood Conan has gone missing once before.
Inspector Brian Ferguson, of Strathclyde Police, said: "Conan's family is becoming increasingly concerned for his safety. I would appeal to anyone who can help us find the youngster to get in touch with the police as a matter if urgency."
